In honor of World Meditation Day on May 21 I created this meditation to completely revolutionize how you think about meditation. If you've never meditated before, this is the episode that will teach you from the ground up. If you've been meditating for years, this is the episode that will reframe what meditation actually is — not relaxation, not emptying the mind, but a literal portal into infinite realities. I walk you through the exact approach I've used to guide hundreds of thousands of you into states that traditional meditation teachers won't even talk about.
I break down the neuroscience of why meditation works the way it does — how dropping into alpha and theta activates the temporal lobe, quiets the default mode network, and increases your brain's natural DMT production, putting you in the same state as the most reality-altering experiences humans can have. Then I teach you the foundation: how to sit still, the Silva 5-to-1 countdown method, posture and breath, the secret of vivid five-sense imagination, and how to activate your body before you sit down so you go deep without falling asleep. In the British Museum in London there is a glass case containing a polished black disc made of obsidian — volcanic glass, impossibly smooth, roughly six inches across. The surface seems to absorb light rather than reflect it. The placard reads: "John Dee's Scrying Mirror, circa 1580." It was through this mirror that one of the most brilliant minds in Elizabethan England claimed to receive a complete language transmitted by angels — its own alphabet, grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and an elaborate system of tables and hierarchies describing the structure of creation itself. The system became known as Enochian magic. And for four hundred years, the most serious occultists in Western history have treated it as real.
