April 21st: Rachael Maidens Welfare Check Made (2013)

When you say your marriage vows you promise to love, cherish, and protect the person standing in front of you. On April 21st 2013 a concerned family member asked police to perform a welfare check. In doing so, they unknowingly sent them walking straight into a crime scene.

April 19th: Matias Reyes Attacks Trisha Meili (1989)

When someone gets away with a crime, where does the blame go? On April 19th 1989 a woman was brutally attacked while on a run. A crime for which the blame went to, not the man truly responsible, but a group of young people of color who, in the end, were completely innocent.
