I’m excited to share the first episode of my new weekly series, Frozen Files, a show dedicated to the unsolved, overlooked, and mishandled cases that never should’ve gone cold.

Our first case is the story of 18-year-old CU Boulder freshman Megan Trussell, who disappeared on Super Bowl Sunday 2025 and was found days later in Boulder Canyon under circumstances her family still cannot reconcile. Her death was ruled a suicide — but the injuries, missing belongings, and investigative gaps have raised far more questions than answers.
