Clock It with Symone and Eugene

    04/2/2026 | 2 min
Symone Sanders Townsend and Eugene Daniels were once at odds as White House staffer and White House reporter. Now they’re friends and colleagues–each co-hosting their own shows at MS NOW. But their off-air conversations are where the real action is. Their new show, “MS NOW Presents: Clock It” is an invitation to their groupchat, the liveliest—and most informative—out there. Whether it’s ICE getting dispatched to the Super Bowl because Bad Bunny’s doing the halftime show, or Nicolás Maduro’s Nike Tech fit, or Michael B. Jordan’s sole Oscar nomination despite playing three roles in Sinners, there is no collision between culture and politics that this show won’t document and decipher. Symone and Eugene see exactly what’s going on—and they want you to clock it, too.
New episodes drop every Thursday, starting February 12th.

Don’t Calm Down, with Maxwell Alejandro Frost

    13/11/2025 | 47 min
The youngest person in Congress, Representative Maxwell Alejandro Frost of the Florida 10th, says he’s "very pissed off" about the eight senators who agreed to a deal with the GOP to end the shutdown. He says that group – average age 69 – is behaving as though we’re not in a new political era. “When we have Democrats living in a political world that doesn't exist anymore, and Republicans living in reality, we will lose.” He says to be effective, Democrats need to “unshackle ourselves from the way things have been so we can be more like ourselves.” And the party needs to really fight for Americans to get decent health care, not just restore Republican cuts. "A lot of people have healthcare and it sucks,” he says. “So it's not just that we need everyone to have sucky healthcare. It is: we need everyone to have good healthcare.” Before that, Jen and Democratic strategist Lis Smith rewind the emotional rollercoaster of the last seven days – a blue wave crashing into a backroom deal.

We’re Not Dead, Baby!, with David Plouffe

    06/11/2025 | 46 min
Last night felt like a make-or-break moment for Democrats, as voters handed decisive victories to the party, especially in New Jersey, Virginia, and New York City. The three candidates that won in those places (Mikie Sherrill, Abigail Spanberger, and Zohran Mamdani respectively) are very different from each other and ran very different campaigns, showing that there isn’t only one face of the Democratic party.
David Plouffe, Democratic strategist and former campaign manager to Barack Obama, joins Jen Psaki and Lis Smith to analyze the races, the key takeaways, and how the Dems can take advantage of the momentum to stage a return to power.

Acerca de MS NOW Presents: Clock It

President Trump spent his pre-political life plastering his name on hotels, golf courses, and casinos. He made cameos in movies and hosted a TV program. Today, he’s hijacking the arts and the internet – trying to legitimize himself and his politics. The Trump administration knows that culture is the frontline of politics. Because if you can control the culture, you can control the people. On “MS NOW Presents: Clock It,” we look at the news through the eyes of people equally conversant in politics and culture. Symone Sanders Townsend’s work inside administrations and campaigns put her at the center of the culture wars, helping candidates navigate the minefields of identity, symbolism, and optics. Eugene Daniels built his career at “Politico” and “Morning Joe” by decoding how pop culture shapes, and sometimes skewers, political figures. On “Clock It,” they invite listeners to take part in their insider conversations. Listen as they analyze the moments when politics and culture bleed into each other as they happen, point out the political games involved, and strategize how to win the war of ideas, memes, and streams. "MS NOW Presents" is the place for the kind of context, perspective, and political analysis you can only get from MS NOW. These are shows that speak to the moment with hosts at the top of their game. We even drop occasional highlights from our TV and YouTube specials. Other series you can find in this feed include: “The Blueprint with Jen Psaki” and “How to Win 2024.”
