Send us a textIn this climactic finale of the Lorehaven Hearth Planar Series, Seth and Celina journey to the two opposing hearts of the multiverse — the Blessed Fields of Elysium and the Gray Waste of Hades. From the radiant meadows where the River Oceanus flows to the desolate glooms where color and hope fade away, this episode explores how Dungeons & Dragons has portrayed these realms across every edition, from 1e’s foundational cosmology to 5e’s Great Wheel revival.Listeners will discover:The four layers of Elysium — Amoria, Eronia, Belierin, and Thalasia — and the serene celestials who dwell there. The three glooms of Hades — Oinos, Niflheim, and Pluton — and the grim forces that harvest souls. How each edition reshaped these planes in lore and mechanics. The deep mythological roots of paradise and despair, from the Greek Elysian Fields and Hades to the Egyptian Aaru and Norse Helheim. The moral and theological echoes that resonate through these imagined afterlives. The episode closes with a reflective biblical meditation, contrasting the fleeting peace of Elysium and the hopelessness of Hades with the eternal rest promised in Christ:“Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54–55)Join us for this final journey through the Great Wheel — a tale of light and shadow, hope and despair, and the eternal truth beyond all planes.

Second Wind: Beastlands, Gehenna, and guest Tony
Send us a textWell, this one's not as long, but there are still fun tangents to enjoy. Tony even had "bonus material" for us! See you in two weeks for the penultimate episode, Elysium and Hades. There will be some big announcements included in that one.

Lorehaven Hearth - 12. Beastlands, Gehenna, and Guest Appearance
Send us a textThe Season is wrapping up! Seth and Celina have a good discussion about the differences, but also the similarities, of the Beastlands with other heavens, and laughingly cringe their way through the awful, desperate brutality that is Gehenna. Then, as an added bonus, we have Tony, from Dungeons and Disciples drop by for a short interview, and to get a sense of what his and Josh's show is about. It was fun having him share some about it, and get to know him a bit, too. Enjoy this "anitpenultimate" episode, and be sure to come back for the Second Wind, then the last discussion of two specific Planes next month. The final episode, a complete Wrap Up of all the Planes, will come in November, with its possible Second Wind dropping in December.

Second Wind: Holes. So many Holes
Send us a textThe longer Seth and Celina sit together, podcasting, the easier they fall for a chaos beast tangent. Holy Ophanim!! But, it just means more fun content for you. Sorry it's a day late; enjoy anyway Oh! Speaking of Ophanim, here's the link Seth mentioned, to an AI generated video of what biblically accurate angels would look like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=NGiiPTD8swk

Lorehaven Hearth - 10. Arborea and the Nine Hells
Send us a textHere is episode "10", if anyone is actually keeping track of the pattern we're "following" around the Great Wheel. Here are Lorehaven Hearth, we discuss to rich, storied lore of Dungeons and Dragons - and occasionally Pathfinder. While we're are it, we examine it from a Christian perspective, and look for ways to redeem the TTRPG genre. Season 2 has afforded us some fantastic discussions so far, as we've traveled our way around the Great Wheel, two Planes of existence at a time. Mt. Celestia and Bytopia remind us of most of what the Bible describes the new Heaven we have to look forward to will look like, while every one of the Lower Planes have left us with their individual flavors of "ick". We're reaching the end of the Season, with just two other pairs, and a wrap up episode to go, after this one. We're in talks about what the theme for Season 3 will be, as well as discussing ways to expand the types of content we send your way. Please Subscribe and Follow, Rate, and leave a Review! We are slowly bringing the light of the Gospel to an area of pop culture where it has not been very prevalent previously, and we desire to spread the light even further - soli Deo gloria! The music in the narrative opening is written for us by Tony Benda; find more of his work at www.tonybenda.comWe are on Instagram! A discussion between two Christian nerds about the nerdiest stuff we can think of including, D&D, SCI-FI, the superhero genre, etc. We try to incorporate humor, imaginative storytelling and a good ole fashion ribbing to make the listening experience a whole lot of fun!
