Dear fellows, this is Messenger. You might wonder why my output of DJ sets has slowed down lately. The reason is simple — and a little sad. Over the past decade, I was caught in a toxic dynamic with someone I once called a friend. He turned out to be a covert narcissist. While I’ve dealt with overt narcissism before, the covert type is much harder to detect — and even harder to escape. Long story short: I never gave in to the manipulation, but it left its marks. I went through a severe depressive episode and lost touch with the joy I used to feel — in life, in music, in everything. Now, I’m slowly finding my way back. As part of this process, I wrote a book about narcissism, which will be published soon. (In German Language) This mix is part of that healing journey.
