Techno Live Sets

Midnighters,
This one is personal. I've been playing Groovecreator's music for fifteen years. His records have filled countless hours of this show and many nights behind the decks. Bringing him to you as a guest on this bonus episode feels like a full-circle moment.
He's sharing something special: a live recording from his set at Playground during Burning Man 2026, captured in Black Rock City. If you couldn't be in the desert this year, this is the closest you'll get to dancing in the dust at sunrise.
The set opens with an unreleased Chicago acid track he made with house legend Roy Davis Jr. From there, it takes you through a Led Zeppelin bootleg, a club edit of Radiohead, and Prydz's Pink Floyd rework. Then it lands on "I Feel Love" by Moroder and Donna Summer, the record that arguably started it all. The last stretch builds into peak-time house and techno, ending with Carl Cox's remix of "Talamanca," a nice nod to the man behind Playground.
Big thanks to Groovecreator for trusting us with this recording. If it moves you, follow him via https://linktr.ee/Groovecreator and let him know. Nothing means more to an artist than hearing that it landed.
Now for the part that makes me happiest. On Saturday, 3 October 2026, Groovecreator joins me on my rooftop at the Tomorrowland Ibiza Rooftop Sessions. After fifteen years of playing his tracks, I'm still letting that sink in.
He plays from 20:00 to 21:00, with Rebeca Ark before and after. You'll find us at the Tomorrowland Ibiza Store in the Ibiza Gallery, Platja d'en Bossa. The guest list is free, so bring your crew and sign up here: https://www.fourvenues.com/vanesa2/events/tomorrowland-ibiza-rooftop-sessions-03-10-2026-WXGT
If you come because of the show, come find me and say hi. Putting faces to the names I see in the comments every week is the best part of what we've built together.
Midnighters, this community grows because of you, so tell me what you think. Which moment got you: the Zeppelin bootleg, "I Feel Love," or that unreleased acid track? If you've been to the Burn, share your best playa memory. Coming to the rooftop? Say so in the comments so we can find each other.
Tag a friend who needs this set and share your favourite moment with #TheMidnightProject.
The regular show is back on Wednesday.
Until then, see you on the dancefloor.
