Idiocracy is a 2006 American science fiction comedy film directed and produced by Mike Judge, who co-wrote with Etan Cohen. The plot follows United States Army librarian Joe Bauers and prostitute Rita, who undergo a government hibernation experiment and awake five hundred years later to find a devolved dystopian anti-intellectual society. The cast includes Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Dax Shepard, Terry Crews, David Herman, Justin Long, Andrew Wilson, and Brad Jordan.

Animal Farm, also known as Animal Farm: A Cautionary Tail, is a 2025 American animated satirical black comedy film directed by Andy Serkis and written by Nicholas Stoller, loosely based on the 1945 novella by George Orwell. The film stars Seth Rogen, Gaten Matarazzo, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Laverne Cox, Kieran Culkin, Woody Harrelson, Jim Parsons, Serkis, Kathleen Turner, and Iman Vellani. It is the third adaptation of the novella, following the 1954 animated film and the 1999 live-action film, with an alternative, coming-of-age plot that introduces new characters such as a piglet called Lucky, an original character who is also the main protagonist.

Riding the Bus with My Sister is a 2005 television film that aired on CBS as part of the Hallmark Hall of Fame anthology series, based on the 2002 memoir of the same name by Rachel Simon. The film, like the book, is about the time Simon spent with her sister Beth, who has a developmental disability, and whose lifestyle revolves around riding buses in her home city of Reading, Pennsylvania. Andie MacDowell plays Rachel Simon, while Rosie O'Donnell plays Beth. It was directed by Anjelica Huston, with a screenplay by Joyce Eliason.

Hellboy is a 2004 American superhero film based on the Dark Horse Comics
character, created by Mike Mignola. Written and directed by Guillermo
del Toro, it is the first live-action film in the Hellboy franchise. Ron
Perlman stars as the titular character, alongside Selma Blair, Jeffrey
Tambor, Karel Roden, Rupert Evans, and John Hurt. The film draws
inspiration from the debut comic Hellboy: Seed of Destruction. In the
film, a charismatic demon-turned-investigator named "Hellboy" works with
the secretive Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense to suppress
paranormal threats, when a resurrected sorcerer seeks to make Hellboy
fulfill his destiny by triggering the apocalypse.
