Death Cab for Cutie (Ben Gibbard)

    11/06/2026 | 38 min
Our guest this week is Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie. Nearly thirty years into one of indie rock's most celebrated careers, Death Cab have continued to grow, evolve and connect with audiences in a way very few bands manage to sustain. Last week they returned with I Built You A Tower, their eleventh studio album and their first on an indie label in twenty years. It's a record that draws on everything sonically the band have built across their catalogue, and one that feels like a genuine statement from a group who have never been content to stand still. On today's episode, Ben Gibbard joins us to talk about returning to an indie label and what that meant for the making of the record, the sonic world of I Built You A Tower, the songwriting process behind these new songs, and what Australian fans can expect when the band tour here in November.

    PASH

    03/06/2026 | 26 min
Our guests this week are PASH. The South Australian indie pop four-piece have been making serious noise on the Australian music scene, wearing influences like INXS and The 1975 proudly while building a sound, aesthetic and identity rooted firmly in their Adelaide heritage. Last year the band - Jett, Orlando, Nic and Dan - signed a worldwide deal, and their self-titled sophomore EP, out now, marks another confident step forward for one of the country's most promising young acts. On today's episode, the whole band joins us to discuss the sophomore EP and the expectations they place on themselves to reach bigger audiences with each release, the origins of PASH and the development of their unabashedly Australian pop rock sound, and the thriving Adelaide music scene and what's behind the current wave of artists breaking out of the state.

    Jack Antonoff - Bleachers 2.0

    28/05/2026 | 23 min
Our guest this week is Jack Antonoff of Bleachers. A thirteen-time Grammy winner, one of modern music's most celebrated producers, with credits alongside Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, and Taylor Swift, and the frontman of New Jersey rock band Bleachers, Jack has spent years making Springsteen-esque, literary rock music that sits in a category entirely its own. Their 2024 self-titled record brought the band to new heights, culminating in a sold-out Madison Square Garden show, and last week they returned with their fifth studio album, Everyone for 10 Minutes, an evolved, deeply felt record exploring themes of hope, grief, and ordinary life. On today's episode, Jack joins us to discuss the sonic and production evolution on Everyone for 10 Minutes, how he distinguishes his creative voice in Bleachers from his work producing for other artists, and the ongoing development of his songwriting and where he still sees room to push.
