The White Pube

I'm back from my month in Chile! here's a text about having no knickers. You can get the written version on the white pube website where you can also see the film photos I refer to; and I wouldn't have been in Chile if it were not for a Project Grant from the arts council so please click here to find out more about grants. enjoy !!!!!

this week's text is about Jenkin Van Zyl's film: Enclosure @ Somerset House's Lancaster Rooms. it's also about simulations, strangeness, transcendence and how we're living in HELL.

This text is about walking the Camino Frances from Sarria to Santiago, over Galicia's hills and thinking about God and other people

This week's text is an essay about something i've been calling CARTOON LOGIC -- when things are flattened, exaggerated, amplified, shifting through forms and suspended in constant motion without resolution.

I also speak about a film called The Laws of Motion in a Cartoon Landscape, by an artist called Andy Holden. If you want to watch it, Andy has kindly made it public, but watch quick because i think it'll only be up for around a month (watch it here)
Andy also has a monograph coming out 17th September, published by HENI and written by Jennifer Higgie (link to it here), and there's a launch event at Camden Arts Centre on 17th Sept also -- Andy will be performing and also in conversation with Jarvis Cocker (link to tickets here) [I BELIEVE THIS IS NOW SOLD OUT!]
Andy's website is (here)

This week's text is a review of Stonehenge, a 10,000 year old prehistoric megalithic monument and mystery. it's also about Zakia Sewell's book, Finding Albion.
