The Therapy Crouch

On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Peter are joined once again by Abbey’s best friend Liberty, who is putting the pair through their paces with the ultimate wine tasting!

Armed with bottles ranging from brilliant £9 bargains to alternatives for wines that can cost hundreds of pounds, Liberty attempts to teach Abbey and Pete everything they need to know about choosing a good bottle, pairing wine with food and, most importantly, how to look like you know what you’re doing when the sommelier comes over.

The gang discover why cheese can completely change the taste of champagne, whether expensive wine glasses actually make a difference and the sneaky trick that can make your £9 bottle look considerably more impressive when you have guests round. Liberty also reveals why you shouldn’t always go for the biggest name on the wine list and why a great bottle doesn’t necessarily need to cost a fortune.

Things inevitably become slightly less educational as the tasting continues, with Pete forgetting one of the fundamental rules of wine tasting, Abbey admitting she is officially “battered” and the trio debating everything from wine hangovers and £500 restaurant bottles to whether putting ice in your wine is ever acceptable.

There’s plenty of food along the way too, as Liberty shares some simple tips for entertaining at home before Abbey and Pete crown their favourite wines of the day – assuming they can still remember what they’ve tried!

On today’s episode of The Therapy Crouch, Abbey and Peter are joined by one of Abbey’s oldest and closest friends, Liberty, for an episode packed with stories from their years of friendship, celebrity encounters and more than a few questionable decisions.

Liberty reveals how she first met Abbey during her modelling days and recalls being caught in the middle of one of Abbey and Pete’s biggest arguments just before the birth of Jack – including the moment Abbey decided Pete was no longer invited to the hospital!

We also hear the incredible story of how Liberty and her husband discovered a young Ed Sheeran, who promptly moved onto their sofa and seemingly refused to leave, as well as Liberty’s years styling some of his biggest music videos. And if that wasn’t enough name-dropping, Liberty reveals the extraordinary encounter at a Cannes party that left her being told she was “too ugly” to be in the presence of Leonardo DiCaprio – and how she got her revenge years later.

Abbey and Liberty also look back at their wildest nights together, including a missing Range Rover, a £4,000 bottle of wine and plenty of stories Pete probably wishes he’d never heard.

Elsewhere, Liberty reveals the fitness change that completely transformed her body, shares her cooking and wine knowledge, talks about meeting Chris Hemsworth and introduces us to her seven rescue dogs – including the Belgian Malinois who decided to eat part of her Aston Martin.
