Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Emma.

Emma is a mama of two from New Brunswick, Canada. 
She is incredibly passionate about physiological birth and a woman’s personal intuition of this natural event. 
Unfortunately there is very little access to natural pregnancy, birth, and postpartum support in her province in Canada, so navigating this world was challenging in both her pregnancies. 

Her first birth was followed and attended in hospital by a doula, though things did not unfold as hoped. 
With lots of emotional and physical preparation, her most recent birth was a redemptive, beautiful free-birth in her ensuite bathtub with her most intimate family members and best friend of over 20 years present.

Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Hanna.
Hanna is a mama of two daughters now based in Uppsala, Sweden but living from time to time in Melbourne.
Her husband is Australian and her 1st born was born in Melbourne in the hospital, while her second was a home birth bubba.
Hanna and her family has chosen to step out of the every day hamster wheel life and is now living in a little red cabin in the countryside not too far away from where I live actually, where she works a lot in her garden.
She grows food and spends a lot of time out in the woods and her aim is a slow paced life. 
And she is on the path of becoming a Parish Educator and is in the process of heading back home Down under to Australia.
Today she shares about her natural hospital birth in Australia and her fast home birth in her red little cabin here in the woods of Sweden.

Rocio is a mama of one originally from Cuba, a citizen of the US now living in the Dominican Republic.
She's a writer, seeker, and huge birth nerd.
Flying out to have an autonomous birth in the Dominican Republic at 38 weeks was a big part of her life long search for true freedom.
She is a political refugee from Cuba and the daughter of an ObGyn Mother.
The themes of fleeing a dictatorial government, immigration, and what freedom really means, led her on a deep spiritual search early in her life which contributed to her choice to birth autonomously with only her partner in the room.
She's currently writing a memoir on these topics, and deeply enjoying her first year and a half of motherhood in the Dominican Republic.

Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Saide.
Saide is a mama of one little new born baby from Canada.

She always knew she was going to have a home birth as her own mama birthed her and her siblings at home and all of her friends were home birthed too, so it was just the norm in her circles.

She went on a journey to find the right midwife for her and she wouldn't settle until it felt just right, which took her to the very end of her pregnancy.

In the end she ended up having a natural home water birth, just as she had envisioned.

In this episode we also discuss coming of birth control and the effects of that, having an anterior cervical lip and the actual truth about that and how listening to your own inner voice and intuition is the most powerful tool in pregnancy, birth and motherhood.

Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Rose.

Rose is one of my sacred birth worker graduates and one of the longest listeners to this podcast.

It’s so fabulous to finally get to invite her onto the show.

Rose is a very private person who is active in her Brooklyn in person community, but not at all online.

She is absolutely fascinated by birth and it’s her calling to serve in this field. And what better guide and companion than a mama of 8, soon to be 9.

Rose's first baby unfortunately passed in her womb, and this is where Rose’s story starts. When she became pregnant with her next baby she went to birth in the hospital.  

And although the experience was pleasant and as natural as possible, she wished for something greater which propelled her to take the giant leap into home birth. 

Since then she has birthed all her babies at home with each birth bringing her to a unique journey of surrender and growth.

It’s not every day that you get to listen to a mamas 8 birth stories.
