RSPW Rewind returns after a lengthy absence with Episode 38 reviewing posts in the RSPW newsgroup and what wrestling fans were talking about (and complaining about) as far back as 1990! In this installment, there's a LOT of divided opinion about Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez, as well as John Cena after his WWE debut in 2002, right on through the early days of his first reign as WWE champion. TNA got off to a TERRIBLE start on AMC Thursday night and dropped the ball in so many ways, let's count them all... and then let's figure out what the issues were and how to address them.  One of the biggest is that TNA seems to have an IDENTITY CRISIS that they need to resolve going forward.  It doesn't help when you have people like Eric Bischoff for months saying TNA could become the #2 promotion when there's no reason to believe such a thing.  To make matters worse, MOOSE went and stuck his foot in his mouth in a major way.  Plus, WrestleMania 42 plans have reportedly been BLOWN UP... what that means for a Cody Rhodes heel turn... Saturday Night's Main Event predictions... Paramount continues to EMBARRASS itself in its pursuit of Warner Brothers Discovery... Powerhouse Hobbs GONE from AEW, rumors of a pending WWE signing and what would be the best place to start him... Solomonster reviews the TNA iMPACT premiere on AMC and, as network debuts go, this one was a disaster.  Cannot imagine they made a single new fan with this show.  Mike Santana is champion again, so that's something, but it was not enough to salvage an otherwise dreadful show that felt more like a DIET version of WWE than a promotion trying to carve out its own identity.  Hopefully, they can find their footing in the weeks ahead, but as a first effort, this was a swing and a miss.
