History of the 90s: The Tupac Murder Trial

Jury selection at the Tupac Murder Trial is entering the final phase. The initial pool of 125 people has been whittled down to 36 prospective jurors. Beginning this afternoon the prosecution and defence will use their peremptory challenges to pick the final 12 jurors and 4 alternate jurors who will decide the fate of Duane "Keefe D" Davis.

Jury selection continued for a second day at the trial of Duane Keefe D Davis at a courthouse in downtown Las Vegas
12 more people made it through to the next step in the process and will come back on Thursday for the final phase of questioning.

The trial of Duane "Keefe D" Davis is set to start this morning inside the 8th Judicial District Court in Las Vegas. Davis is facing a charge of murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further or assist a criminal gang in connection with the 1996 drive-by shooting death of rapper Tupac Shakur. The first order of business in the court today will be selecting the jurors who will decide the fate of 63 year-old Davis who prosecutors say ordered the killing in retaliation for a gang fight.
