In this episode, I sit down with Alessandro Rōz to explore masculinity, queerness, brotherhood, and what becomes possible when men learn how to connect beyond performance, fear, and social conditioning. We talk about Alessandro’s journey through the world of men's work, the challenges queer men face in predominantly straight male spaces, and how many of us learn to shape-shift and mask parts of ourselves in order to feel safe and accepted. Together, we explore why so many queer men feel disconnected from other men, the impact of bullying and heteronormative culture, and how healing those wounds can unlock entirely new ways of relating.
We also dive into some of Alessandro’s most viral ideas, including why he believes all men contain a natural capacity for homoerotic connection, how queer men act as bridges between masculine and feminine energies, and why modern culture often reduces male connection to either "fuck" or "kill." Along the way, we discuss eros, intimacy, queer ancestry, spirituality, the growing movement of straight men exploring their queerness, and practical tools for cultivating deeper presence in both relationships and sex. This episode is an invitation to rethink what connection, masculinity, and queer community can look like when love is placed back at the center.

ABOUT ALESSANDRO RŌZ
I'm a queer ceremonialist guiding men into deeper intimacy with themselves, their desire, and their unique gifts. Growing up as the only gay child in an all-male family in northern Italy, I learned early to make myself smaller to belong. After a decade in Hollywood and an Emmy-nominated production, I followed a deeper calling into the Peruvian Amazon, apprenticing with Shipibo, Mestizo, and Ashaninka teachers. I later facilitated more than twenty men's retreats worldwide with Sacred Sons before creating spaces specifically for queer men. Today, I blend shamanic practice, somatic embodiment, IFS, mirror work, and erotic ritual through Bloom and Brotherhood of Lovers, a queer-led mystery school I co-founded with Langston Kahn. My work continues an ancient tradition: teaching men how to love.

I recently had one of the most unexpectedly wholesome experiences of my life: after hooking up with a guy in a gay sauna, we ended up standing in the shower singing musical theatre songs together. The experience left me questioning many of the assumptions I’d carried about saunas, bathhouses, and queer sexual spaces. Why did I feel so much shame walking into a sauna in the first place? Where did that shame come from? And why have so many of us inherited the belief that spaces created by gay men for pleasure and connection are somehow less respectable than other forms of community?
In this episode, I explore the history of gay bathhouses, the role queer spaces have played in helping LGBTQ people find each other, and the ways sexuality, friendship, intimacy, and belonging often overlap in queer culture. We talk about chosen family, minority stress, internalized shame, and why physical queer spaces still matter in the age of dating apps. Most of all, this episode is an invitation to question the stories we’ve been told about gay community, and the shame we may still be carrying because of them.

In this intimate and intellectually rich episode, I sit down with writer Jeremy Atherton Lin to explore the themes of his book Deep House — a powerful blend of queer love story, cultural history, immigration, and political resistance. We talk about what it means to build a relationship across borders, how laws and systems shape queer intimacy, and why the real issue for many queer couples was never simply marriage equality, but the right to belong together in the first place. Jeremy reflects on meeting his British partner during the rise of DOMA, navigating an “undocumented” queer life together, and how love itself can become both deeply personal and quietly political.
We also dive into themes of home, surrender, migration, queer history, and the emotional reality of long-distance relationships. Jeremy shares why he wanted to preserve forgotten queer stories from the past, why erotic and domestic intimacy matter in queer storytelling, and how borders continue to shape modern queer life even after legal progress. Along the way, we explore fears many listeners will relate to — wondering whether long-distance love is worth it, fearing loneliness, and questioning how to create stability in an uncertain world. This episode is about love, belonging, and what queer relationships can teach us about freedom and connection.

In this episode, I sit down with Nick Wolny to explore the connection between queer identity, money mindset, and building a life that actually feels aligned. We talk about shifting from “doing what we love” to “doing who we are,” and how that mindset can completely transform the way we approach career, success, and financial freedom. Nick explains why queer people are often uniquely equipped to redefine success outside traditional life scripts — and how that can become a powerful advantage when it comes to money, purpose, and lifestyle design.
We also dive into the emotional side of money, including the shame, scarcity, and limiting beliefs many queer men carry around finances and self-worth. Nick breaks down investing and financial literacy in simple, accessible language, shares the key numbers people should actually track, and offers practical steps for becoming more financially confident starting today. This episode is about more than wealth — it’s about creating a life where your money supports your fullest, most authentic queer self.

We also get into specific recommendations for keeping your mouth healthy while still enjoying your sex life, from toothpaste choices to toothbrush techniques and simple habits that make a big difference. If you’ve ever worried about breath, hygiene, or how to stay safe while giving oral, this episode gives you clear, no-shame answers backed by real expertise — with a few laughs along the way.
