The Confused Breakfast

We're stepping inside the telepod this week to revisit David Cronenberg's 1986 body-horror classic, THE FLY! Is this one of the most disturbing horror movies ever made, or is it secretly one of the greatest tragic love stories of the '80s? Could teleportation ever actually work, and would you be willing to try it? Why the heck does he have baboons in his apartment, and more importantly, what does a monthly baboon subscription cost? Is keeping your discarded body parts in a medicine cabinet the most disgusting thing imaginable? How could a movie so gross, make us so emotional? Grab your favorite insect repellent, check your telepod for unwanted passengers, and be afraid. Be very afraid.

We traveled to Orlando to hang with our new friends Ninjas Are Butterflies for an incredible crossover episode that goes completely off the rails. Are we looking at Mrs. Doubtfire all wrong? Is Interstellar overrated? Could Bigfoot actually be an interdimensional creature? What's the deal with Mothman, mysterious giants, paranormal encounters and the terrifying idea of cave exploration? We debate our favorite movies, explore some truly bizarre theories, question reality, share plenty of laughs and discover just how much these two podcasts have in common.

oin us as we break down 1997’s Scream 2. We discuss all the important things you want to talk about. Is Luke Wilson’s cameo one of the best of all-time? Is this actually one of the rare sequels that is better than the original? Is this movie a snapshot of “who’s who” back in the late 90s? Would you attend a movie premiere of Stab like this? Enjoy our modern-day review and breakdown

The boys are coming to you from Astoria, Oregon with a review of 1986’s Short Circuit from INSIDE of Stephanie’s house! This is a fun one where we tackle the important questions. Is Johnny Five still one of the most lovable movie robots ever created? How do the practical effects somehow still look this good nearly 40 years later? Is Ally Sheedy secretly doing all the heavy lifting? How did Steve Guttenberg end up feeling like a supporting character? And what do we even begin to do with Fisher Stevens’ performance through a modern-day lens? Grab some input. LET’S GO!
