Life on The Runway and More with Anastasiia

    31/05/2026 | 33 min
Project Runway Model Anastasia on Manifesting, Athletic Modeling, and Building a Creative Career
In this episode of the SilverDisobedience Perception Dynamics podcast host Dian Griesel interviews Anastasia, a four-season Project Runway model who just wrapped Season 22. They discuss what it means to be chosen by designers for the finale and why Anastasiia sees modeling as the job of "selling the clothes." Anastasia also explains her perspectives on “manifesting” as structured goal-setting, discusses embracing an athletic, muscular build on the modeling runway despite fashion industry labels, and shares influences like Kobe Bryant’s “touch the line” mindset. She describes her background as a dancer (hip hop, popping, locking, vogueing), her move from Russia to China for dance contracts, and then to Brooklyn to pursue opportunities. Anastasia outlines her learning approach -- seeking mentors, researching, and cross-applying skills -- plus her early-morning routine, favorite books, and next goals: making her own film, pursuing a Magic Mike hosting job, continuing Project Runway, and finishing her book.

The Resilient Beat: Drumming, A Brain Tumor, Adversity and Creativity with Renown Drummer Alex Cohen

    26/05/2026 | 44 min
Drummer Alex Cohen on Resilience, Brain Tumor Recovery, and “Eldritch” Rhythms In this SilverDisobedience Perception Dynamics podcast, host Dian Griesel interviews renowned drummer and educator Alex Cohen about drumming, resilience, and how a seizure led to the discovery of a brain tumor and life-saving surgery at Duke. Alex shares how he started drums at 12 as a bullied kid with little natural talent, practiced relentlessly for years, then experienced a sudden, dramatic jump in rhythmic ability after the seizure, including complex limb independence and advanced tuplets that drew millions of views online. He describes the fear of a possible glioblastoma, the support of his mother, a connection to Duke through a childhood friend lost to glioblastoma, radiation and pill-form chemo, loss of right peripheral vision, and family hardships. Alex documents his journey in his book “Rhythms of Resilience,” discusses teaching through step-by-step methods, and explains balancing extreme rhythmic concepts with serving the music in bands.

Devoted Leadership: A Conversation with Jeanne Stafford

    21/05/2026 | 35 min
Does God Belong in the Workplace? Jeanne Stafford on the Devotion Factor and Time with Intention
In this episode of the SilverDisobedience Perception Dynamics host Dian Griesel talks with Jeanne Stafford about whether God belongs in the workplace and how “the devotion factor” helps people connect to something eternal, clarify purpose, and manage time with intention. Stafford explains devotion as a chosen commitment rooted in doing, and shares how she applied her method after being released from a Forbes contributor contract, using the experience to reassess worth, take risks, and write about Holy Week and her Catholic faith. She emphasizes that nonbelievers can benefit by devoting time to other “eternal” anchors like nature, love, and family, illustrating with a client who built a holistic financial services firm inspired by surfing and service. They discuss head-versus-heart noise, morning routines, perspective-shifting moments, and Stafford’s advice to remove one to three nonessential things to create space for what matters.

Aging, Nutrition & Memory with John Lewis, Ph.D.

    18/05/2026 | 37 min
Aging, Memory & Nutrition: Dr. John Lewis on Vitamin D/K2, Fiber, and Aloe/Rice Bran Polysaccharides in Alzheimer’s Research
In this SilverDisobedience© Perception Dynamics™ podcast Host Dian Griesel interviews John Lewis, Ph.D. about aging, memory, and nutrition; challenging overhyped high-protein advice for largely sedentary Americans while emphasizing key needs like vitamin D (noting widespread deficiency); and, pairing D3 with K2 to direct calcium into bones. They discuss the importance of dietary fiber for gut transit time and potential disease-risk reduction, and Dr. Lewis argues most essential nutrients come from plants, with B12 and K2 synthesized by bacteria. Dr. Lewis describes 20 years of research on complex polysaccharides from aloe vera and rice bran and a 12-month clinical trial in 34 people with moderate to severe Alzheimer’s showing significant ADAS-Cog improvements at 9 and 12 months, along with blood-marker changes including improved CD4:CD8 ratio, reduced TNF alpha and VEGF, and a 286% increase in CD14 cells. He explains the nutrition model of supporting the body with raw materials, notes funding barriers in academia, and shares his company, Dr. Lewis Nutrition, and its flagship formulation.
