09/1/2026 | 32 min
You may have listened to the 'True Crime Round Up' this year, where me and Stuart, host of the British Murders Podcast, talked about all things true crime once a month. Well, due to the popularity of this show we now release it every Wednesday on a separate feed and it is called the 'True Crime Catch Up'. You can listen every week on the usual podcast apps or you can watch us on YouTube. The link below will take you to Spotify, Apply and YouTube and if you enjoy the show, please do follow us there so we can continue to grow the show. This week, we look at the shocking 1980 murder of John Lennon in New York which shocked the world. What followed raised uncomfortable questions that continue to surface after acts of extreme violence. In this podcast, we examine the murder and the intense focus placed on The Catcher in the Rye, the book carried by his killer, Mark David Chapman. We explore how quickly media attention shifted from the crime itself to the idea that books, films, and popular culture can influence real-world violence, and whether that connection stands up to scrutiny.Listen/Watch the True Crime Catch Uphttps://audioalways.lnk.to/TrueCrimeCatchUpJoin me at TrueCrimeFest in London in Marchhttps://www.truecrimefest.co.uk/Watch my YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosFind Our More About Mehttps://uktruecrime.comJoin My Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime Hosted on Acast. A Fiancé Killed in Cold Blood: Tracie Andrews and the Murder of Lee Harvey | Ep. 226
08/1/2026 | 40 min
On a winter’s night in December 1996, after a couple pulled into a lay-by in the West Midlands, the woman claimed they’d just been victims of a violent road rage attack. The man, her fiancée, lay dying from multiple stab wounds. What followed would become one of the most infamous murder cases in modern British criminal history - a case that split public opinion, dominated tabloid headlines, and introduced a narrative many were too quick to accept. For years, this case has been lazily labelled a so-called “femme fatale” murder - a phrase that risks turning a brutal killing into something stylised, even seductive. But strip away the media caricatures, the courtroom theatrics, and the mythology built around it, and what remains is the death of a young father, Lee Harvey, and a family left to grieve while the country argued over the person responsible.Buy Maureen Harvey's book Pure Evil below (not an affiliate link):Pure Evil | Amazon UKExclusive content:Patreon - Ad Free, Early Access, Exclusive EpisodesFollow the show:British Murders with Stuart BluesDisclaimer:The case discussed in this podcast episode is real and represents the worst day in many people's lives. Revisited - A Naval Disappearance
02/1/2026 | 43 min
Today I am re-releasing an episode I recorded in 2019 about Allan Grimson, a totally depraved excuse for a man who murdered at least two Royal Navy Sailors and it is speculated, up to as many as twenty others. The reason I have re-released this episode for you today, is because as you may have heard, the police announced last week that they have ended the investigation into the disappearance of Simon Parkes in Gibraltar - a man widely thought to have been another of Grimson's victims. I don't think this story is widely enough known and so wanted to release it again as a tribute to the two men who were killed by Grimson - Nicholas Wright and Sion Jenkins - and to raise awareness in the hope that Simon's devastated family and friends can finally discover what happened to him.
