The New Orleans Saints may have cracked the code on third down efficiency, thanks to quarterback Tyler Shough’s league-leading 103.3 third-down passer rating and clutch playmaking. Building around Shough’s timing with key targets like Chris Olave and newcomer Jordyn Tyson and Travis Etienne Jr. can push the offense to better territory in 2026.

 

Despite setting up plenty of third-and-manageable situations, New Orleans struggled to convert on third and medium and ranked among the league’s worst in third-down sacks allowed, despite a low pressure rate.
