Dr Craig Keener presents a biblical case for the continuing work and gifts of the Holy Spirit today. Beginning with Pentecost, he shows that the Church is still living in the “last days”—the era in which God has poured out His Spirit upon His people. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 13, Dr Keener explains that gifts such as prophecy and tongues remain relevant until Christ returns and believers see Him “face to face.” Scripture presents all spiritual gifts as empowered by God, and as believers, we are to pursue love while eagerly desiring the gifts of the Spirit to build up the body of Christ.
