City Harvest Church Weekend Sermons

In his sermon during this week's School of Theology graduation services, Pastor Kong Hee reminded everyone of the importance of theology. As we grow in the Lord, we should desire to know Him more deeply. Theology helps us understand God's heart, teaches us what brings Him joy, and shows us how to live in response to Him. This is especially important for leaders. Let us all grow deeper in theology and expect greater revival in our lives!

What happens when the little you have meets the greatness of God? Sharing from John 6, Pastor Kong Hee brings an inspiring word on the feeding of the 5,000. God doesn't need a lot to make a miracle, He just needs what you are willing to surrender.

Pastor Kong also shares a wonderful missions report on what the Lord has been doing in the Philippines through City Harvest Church, and how God is really changing lives—especially among the Unreached People Groups (UPGs). God can use our giving to transform nations!

What does it mean to be like Jesus? It means living a cruciform life. In this sermon, Pastor Kong Hee unpacks seven truths about cruciform faith and how it leads to cruciform power; a power rooted entirely in sacrificial love. Discover how the Holy Spirit empowers us to walk in this truth every day.

Prayer is more than presenting our needs to God—it is an ongoing relationship with our loving heavenly Father. In this message, we learn to move beyond “performative” or “superstitious” prayer into honest, relational conversation with God. As we slow down, listen, and allow Him to question, redirect, and refine us, prayer becomes a dialogue of surrender that shapes our hearts into His.

In Isaiah 53:4–5, the prophet foretold of a Messiah who would bear the sins and suffering of humanity. Preaching from this passage, Prof April Westbrook explores the depth of brokenness in our world and the greater love of God that reaches into it. Jesus came not only to bear our suffering, but also to lift us out of our brokenness and restore us to wholeness. He then invites us to partner with Him in His redemptive work in the world. This is the love of God that sets His people free.
