Preaching from Lamentations 3, Prof Frank Macchia reminds us that even amid the devastation of Jerusalem’s fall, God’s mercies never ceased towards His people. When all hope seemed lost, His compassion remained new every morning. 

Because God is love, He cannot cease loving. So Jesus forever altered His existence and took on flesh in order to reconcile humanity to God. He entered into the depths of our despair to redeem and restore us into the circle of love in communion with God!

After the crucifixion, the disciples were disillusioned and drifting back to what was familiar. Likewise, when we lose sight of God’s future, we often return to our past. In John 21, Peter finds that Jesus had prepared breakfast for them over a charcoal fire. The first mention of charcoal fire was when Peter denied Jesus three times in John 18. Here, Jesus meets him not with judgment, but grace—redeeming his failure and restoring his brokenness.

In Part 4 of The Path to Perfection, Pastor Kong Hee introduces the fourth step in the way of perfection—prayer as communion with God. He outlines three key insights about prayer, focusing on “centring prayer,” which involves learning to rest in the presence of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to draw us into deeper union with the Father.

In this short Easter message, Pastor Kong Hee shares the story of a sous-chef who steals a slab of beef from his workplace but is later forgiven of his debt, experiencing real freedom as the weight of guilt is lifted and his sense of peace is restored.
