The Lord gives this man far more than he could have ever imagined! It’s very encouraging to remind ourselves that our God seeks to do far more in and through our lives than we could have ever dreamed possible. The reminder is necessary because life beats us down sometimes to the point where we settle for far less.

Today the plan is to cover more ground in First Samuel, and we left off in chapter ten. We’ve been learning recently how God leads and guides us by His Spirit. It doesn’t always line up with conventional thinking. Saul is about to become the first King of Israel, but before this happens he’s going to receive confirmation through three signs. Pastor Ed will relate this to our calling.
