We haven't had some Scalding Hot Takes in a while, thank god the Oilers gave us plenty of ammo this week. 
 
The boys finished with plenty of CFL talk as week 2 gets underway tonight!
 
We finished the show like we always do with The Wrap from William Huff.

Former Oiler Luke Gazdic was our first guest on today's program, and it couldn't have been a more perfect day to get a former player's perspective. We went straight into the deep end on the ongoing Mike Babcock saga. Luke shares his unique insight on the reports that the player leadership group has signed off on the move and tackles the million-dollar question: Does Babcock truly deserve a third chance in the NHL? We look at all the heavy cons, weigh them against the potential on-ice pros, and finish things off with Luke's breakdown of the Stanley Cup Final and who he is personally pulling for to lift the Mug.

The Nielson Show is live on Edmonton Sports Talk, and Dustin Nielson , Lieutenant Eric, and YouTube Trev are locked and loaded for a massive, jam-packed Thursday morning.
 
We then got into Morning Announcements to recap all the sports action from last night presented by Haddies Golf Shop!
 
After the break, it was time for Offseason, What Offseason presented by GCL Diesel! More news broke yesterday involving the Mike Babcock saga which Dusty had a few things to say on this. Do the Oilers even have a plan?
 
We then got into YouTube Trev's trade of the day. Surprisingly he actually won some nasties over. We capped off hour one by getting Fired Up for Gemco Fireplaces. Today, Dusty was fired up about his daughter the muzz making an unreal stop last night in net. A conch to the muzz!
