The Nielson Show

We are back with another edition of The Nielson Show! The vibes have been absolutely electric this year. Lots of laughs, some Oilers talk and how good is YTT's shot?   We then dove into morning announcements to recap all the action from last night.   The legendary Glen Hall did pass away yesterday, so after the break we dove into who is on the Mt. Rushmore of all time goalies. This then led to which goalie had the best goalie mask of all time.   To finish off hour one, we got Fired Up for Gemco Fireplaces! Today we're fired up about a few things including this years Super Bowl Party and the bet Dusty made with Hernan and Tommy!

We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia.    It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda.   Ryan Rishaug was absolutely in one when he joined the boys on today's show. It was all Oilers talk with Shaugger. He touched on Kapanen being thrown into the top six, Roslovic being inserted onto the third line and whether or not that's a good thing. McDavid is absolutely lighting it up right now, he touched on his brilliance.   The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff.

Craig Button was the first guest on today's show. He just got back from covering the World Juniors and had a lot to say about this year's tournament! We then switched gears to the Oilers where he touched on Jack Roslovic's time on the third line last night with the two kids, Connor Ingram's play as of late, Curtis Lazar's roll on the squad, etc.   It was then time for the Play Alberta Early Bird Bet of the day.   We then dove into Free Advice for Damon Bunting. Plenty of good advice from the boys today.   Eric Macramalla capped off hour two with lots of laughs, a story about Dr. Phil, some comments on YTT's hack sack days and finished with some words on this years World Juniors tournament.

What a game and what a night as the Oilers do what they do once again going up against the Nashville Predators. The vibes were certainly high starting today's show as we played some goal songs.   We got right into morning announcements to recap the action from last night and to touch on the brilliance of Connor McDavid as last night he was on video game mode.   After the break, we got right into The Prolux Lighting Morning After Show! In this segment, we took a deep dive into last night's game. What was the key moment, what the super stat and who were the fourth and 38th stars…   We finished the hour with MMMMMM That's Good presented by The Italian Centre Shop. In this segment, we played for the first time ever 'My Fingers Hurt' in honour of YTT's grandma.

We got the third hour started with Mr Mikes Kind of Easy Trivia.    It was then time for Three Questions Too Many presented by Park Mazda.   Greg Wyshynski was the final guest on today's show. He first addressed team USA's showing at this years World Juniors… He then had some choice words for USA's roster selection for the upcoming Olympics. We finished Greg's hit with an update of the award watch from around the league. He also gave some love to the CFL.   The boys finished off the show with The Wrap from William Huff.
