Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan get unwittingly infected by a grinning trauma demon at a Skye Riley concert, but the entity voluntarily leaves them when it finds out how screwed up in the head they all are as they discuss the first two films in Parker Finn's horror series, "Smile" and "Smile 2."  The crew talk about what they enjoyed most about the two films, from the solid performances, great scares, eerie music, and masterful direction from Finn.  They also talk about what they are looking forward to with the upcoming third installment in the series, which is currently in pre-production.  Thanks for listening and for your patience as we are finally back bringing you more horror content.  Stay smiling and stay scared!

  • Episode 27: Late Night with the Devil
Dave, Devan, Michael, and Ryan get front row seats to a 70s late night talk show and enjoy an entertaining series of demonically possessed guests, all wrapped up in head splitting, neck twisting, spontaneously combusting fun as they discuss the 2023 film, "Late Night with the Devil."  The crew chat about what they enjoyed most about this small, independent horror film, including the effective scares, strong production values despite a small budget, the wild ending, and solid performances, led by David Dastmalchian.  Thank you again for listening and for supporting us.  We couldn't do this without you.  Stay scared!

  • Episode 26: In the Mouth of Madness
Dave, Devan, Michael, and Ryan head over to Hobb's End to party with Sutter Cane and the Old Ones, watch themselves go crazy on the big screen, and get newspaper deliveries from a young Anakin Skywalker as they discuss John Carpenter's 1994 film, "In the Mouth of Madness."  The crew have a lot of fun talking about the movie's many H.P. Lovecraft and cosmic horror inspired elements, including the creature effects and psychological twists and turns.  They also chat about their favorite scenes and the great performances all around, especially from Sam Neill.  We hope you enjoy this episode!  Thanks as always for listening!  Stay scared!

  • Episode 25: Altered States
Dave, Devan, Michael and Ryan decide to try out some untested but I'm sure perfectly safe recreational drugs, spend hours in sensory deprivation tanks, and hallucinate some not-weird-at-all imagery before mutating into prehistoric beings while they discuss Ken Russell's 1980 body horror film "Altered States."  The crew discuss this difficult to comprehend but fascinating to experience motion picture, as they explore the rapid fire dialogue, the strong performances from William Hurt (in his debut film role) and Blair Brown, and the striking visuals that permeate the film.  They also discuss other classic cinema that both heavily inspired and were heavily inspired by it.  If you've seen Altered States, let us know what you think of it in the comments section.  Thank you as always for listening!  Stay scared!

  • Episode 24: "Alien: Romulus" Teaser Trailer Reaction
Dave, Michael and Ryan step aboard a derelict space station filled with facehuggers, chestbursters, and xenomorphs, and think to themselves, "There's something very familiar about all of this," as they go back to their roots and discuss the newly released teaser trailer for the upcoming Fede Alvarez film, "Alien: Romulus."  The crew talk about what stood out to them in the one minute teaser, including the look of the sets, the sounds, and the quick, chilling shots dispersed throughout the brief trailer.  They also discuss their theories of what the movie could be about, considering what is in the trailer and also the Roman mythology behind the film's title.  We thank you so much once again for listening.  Let us know what you think about the trailer and if you're excited for a new Alien film.  Stay scared!
