Jesters of Ravenloft: A D&D Podcast

The Fellowgroup fought a band of orcs that had escaped the battle at Helm’s Deep. Adam and Tony pushed boulders toward the orcs, but when they tried to barrel down the hill themselves, Adam slipped on GanDelf’s greasy ground. Guy then tried to slide down the hill on his shield while shooting arrows, but lost his aim and hit Adam. Tyler, meanwhile, went after Yolo, and spotted Frodo trying to sneak up on the ringbearer. The disturbed hobbit fled, and GanDelf joined them, leaving the others to handle the orcs. Adam managed to recover and slice up an orc, but can he, Guy, and Tony Dumdum really take care of the rest of the enemies alone?

The Fellowgroup decided to take Sir Christopher Lee’s advice and head to Minas Tirith in search of the portals to the other fictional realms they sought. Adam and Tony scoot-raced down the tower, GanDelf and Yolo got drunk, and Guy tried and failed to get the Ents to carry them to Minas Tirith. The journey proved difficult and, not long after setting out, they ran into a group of orcs. Yolo tried to distract them, but fell in the mud, GanDelf used her magic to grease the ground and trip them up, Adam and Tony Dumdum shoved boulders toward them, and Guy readied his bow. Can the Fellowgroup defeat a band of orcs without the help of the Rohirrim or Ents?

Sir Christopher Lee bestowed upon the Fellowgroup as much knowledge as he could before they set out once more. He told them the true story, of the hobbits sneaking into Mordor while Aragorn distracted Sauron with battle at his gate and an army of the dead, how Del’s moths had reached the realms of Terry Brooks, Terry Pratchett, and C. S. Lewis, how Smaug the dragon might be convinced to help them, and how the Sword of Shannara could show Martin the truth of what he was doing. Guy, Adam, and GanDelf collected the others, and Yolo helped GanDelf deal with another dead moth by giving a pep talk. But will pep talks carry them to Minas Tirith?

While Tyler babysat Yolo and Tony Dumdum, Sir Christopher Lee imparted vital information to the rest of the Fellowgroup. George R. R. Martin had taken on the role of Sauron, not maliciously, but rather to explore other possible endings for the story. However, when he introduced some of his own creations, he had inadvertently opened a door into the real world. Wet Change tried to impact the story themselves by writing out a scene in which Martin was destroyed, but it didn’t work, they all gained a bunch of shadow for plotting a murder, and they decided to just proceed with the original quest. But can they find the very important Sword of Shannara?

Tyler took Yolo and Tony Dumdum aside so the rest could have a frank conversation with Sir Christopher Lee and, after chatting for a bit, they realized they were all on the same side. Christopher Lee had extensive knowledge of the true story, but remembered the real-world slightly differently. Guy’s palantir seemed to wake up in the presence of another orb like it, and the famous actor told them that the dark lord had used the device to communicate with Saruman and twist the wizard to his will. Will
the discovery that the dark lord is none other than George SauR-Ron Martin get the Fellowgroup any closer to defeating him?
