On January 8, 1994, a person walking a wooded area off of State Highway 225 in Baldwin County, Alabama, spotted skeletal remains with items scattered about the scene: A trucker hat that said America By Birth, Texan by Grace Of God, a western shirt, an inhaler, a digital watch, dark pair of prescription, bifocal glasses, a mechanical pen and pencil set, as well as a torch tip. Investigation revealed the person was a victim of a homicide and detectives believe the murder happened in 1988 or 1989, but detectives were unable to identify the victim. Out of prison for exactly one month, Christopher Ebanks is accused of killing a friend, Billy Joe Carrethers, with some type of odd stabbing weapon, then forcing Carrethers girlfriend, Selena Blanco, to clean up the mess. The victim was then placed in a bathtub, wrapped up in carpet and air mattress, bound with an extension cord and put into a closet. But not before Ebanks allegedly cut off the victims' head and hands and placed them in a suitcase and carried out of the apartment.
