Between Two Wheels: Cycling News and Commentary from NorCal and the World

Stages 19 & 20 were set up for a sprint stage and the final mountain showdown.  We break them down.

Stage 19: Rueda - Guijuelo (161.9 km)
Stage 20: Robledo de Chavela - Bola del Mundo (165.6 km)

The Vuelta is heating up with some more mountains, but not the big big climbs yet.  This day shaped up for a break away with a likely GC group battle behind.  However, what we got was a protest and shortened stage.

Vuelta Stages 17 & 18 were expected to work out some of the GC issues,... but did they? 

Stage 17.  O Barco de Valdeorras to Alto de El Morredero   (143.2km)
Stage 18 (ITT): Valladolid to Valladolid   (12.2km)
