Stage 9 - Malemort to Ussel. (154.6 km). Heat shortened stage and with some lumps it turned into a one-day classic style.  The finish did not disappoint.  But what to make of team UAE's strategy?

Stage 6 Pau to Gavarnie-Gèdre (186.2 km). With the HC Col du Tourmalet the 2nd to final climb, the profile for stage 6 would lead you to believe it will either be a non-GC battle or a long range attack.  We break it down

Stage 5 Lannemezan to Pau (158.3 km). An obvious bunch sprint stage plays out like we expected.  Some crashes mar the finish but we get a sprint nonetheless.
