Karlik, Kdacek, and Lupo leave the strange waves behind and continue their journey along the coast.
As the cliffs grow lower, the water becomes shallower and the current begins pushing their boat toward hidden rocks just beneath the surface.

Karlik, Kdacek, and Lupo are pushed closer and closer to the rocky coast by the strange waves.
With nowhere else to go, they discover a narrow crack in the cliff that may lead through to the other side. There is only one problem—their boat does not fit.
Karlik grabs his pickaxe and starts widening the passage, while the waves behind them keep getting closer.
To escape, they will need to mine, build, and move fast before the sea reaches them.

Karlik, Kdacek, and Lupo are almost past the mountains when the strange waves return.
At first, they seem to be just following the boat. But Karlik soon realizes they are doing something much more deliberate: every time he tries to steer away from the cliffs, the sea blocks their path.
With the way around the headland closed, the three friends are forced closer and closer to the rocky coast.
And if there is still a way forward, they may have to find it in the cliffs themselves.
