Author Nicholas Keating Casbarro joins us this week to discuss is debut novel Vitalerium – Descent into the Void and the associated comic book series. If you’re a fan of high concept science fiction and cosmic adventure with a does of gritty reality, I highly recommend diving into the bleak world that Nick has created including compelling characters, solid writing and an extensive lore and mythology.

EWB 416 NO KINGS
This episode is not for everyone but I feel compelled to put this out on the feels of th No Kings weekend. I have never been political; for most of my life, I have felt like politics had little impact on my life. Most people probably feel the same way, dealing with the everyday trials of making a living and taking care of themselves and their loved ones. Politics has always felt like this abstraction to me, which is probably why Trump and MAGA have found a foot hold in the US political machine. I attended the Newark No Kings Rally and I wanted to share some of my observations and thoughts.

EWB 415 Darkness Weaves
This week, Karl Haikara and I wrap up Darkness Weaves, the final Kane novel. If you’re tuning into this for the first time, Karl and I started this collaboration to discuss the work of Karl Edward Wagner, an author or sword and sorcery, horror and weird fiction. We started out with his horror short stories and then dove into the world of Kane, his most well-known character; a dark, immortal anti-hero who may or may not be the biblical Kane who slew his brother Abel. #horsemenofthepodcastingapocalypse #everythingwentblackpodcast #karledwardwagner #swordandsorcery
