Douglas Vincent Cooley is a predator caught in a Polk County, Florida investigation. At the time of the sting, Cooley had been living in or near Apopka, Florida. Shockingly, he worked at the Clay Springs Elementary after-school daycare in Apopka.  Cooley had been communicating with a decoy posing as a foster mother willing to sell her fifteen-year-old daughter for sex. After learning of the girl's age, Cooley asked if they were law enforcement. Assured that they were not, Cooley then stated that he had never "come across this opportunity before." He also specifically asked to confirm the girl's age as fifteen. He agreed to pay $100 for a half hour of sex with the minor girl, saying, "I just want to fuck her." Cooley arrived at the house and was immediately arrested by deputies. While being handcuffed, Cooley muttered to himself, "I'm done for." While being searched, Cooley repeatedly kept telling himself, "I'm so dumb." He was first interrogated by deputies then it was Chris’ turn.

On this episode of Have a Seat, Chris Hansen is joined by Chief Legal Officer and Litigation Director of Gold Law, Spencer Kuvin.  In 2005 Kuvin represented the first known victim of Jeffrey Epstein whose report to Palm Beach Police Department kicked off the investigation and later exposed Epstein’s sex trafficking ring.  Kuvin and Hansen discuss the missed opportunities and warning signs of that first case, Kuvin’s face to face interactions with Epstein during his depositions and the co-conspirators yet to be prosecuted. They also dive into the suspicions surrounding Epstein’s death and the recent revelations about the guards who were supposed to be watching him that night.

Christan Medina is notable for having called five separate Ubers to pick up a 14-year-old child for sex, wanting to do BDSM things with the 14-year-old, and for making her call him, "Master." Medina was caught in a sting by Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office. Instead of making an excuse for not knowing her age, he instead just said, "How do I know she's 14?" and that there was no way to know she was 14, despite the decoy stating it.  Medina throughout the episode continually places blame on anyone and any system and refuses to take responsibility for any of his actions.
