A Stronger Faith

Deborah Sharrock grew up around Christianity—but by the time she was a teenager, she hated God and wanted nothing to do with Him. Behind the scenes, her life was unraveling as she battled deep emotional pain, eating disorders, isolation, and suicidal thoughts. By age 15 she believed life wasn’t worth living.

Then one desperate prayer changed everything.

At a youth retreat Deborah prayed, “God, if You’re real… show me.” Moments later she says she was given a vision of God on His throne, surrounded by overwhelming light and holiness. In that moment she realized two things at once: God was real—and He loved her. That encounter transformed a teenager who wanted to die into someone who began pursuing God with everything she had.
