The Miami Dolphins’ 53-man roster is set — at least for now — and Kim Bokamper and Joe Rose are taking their first hard look at the team Miami will bring into the regular season.
With the opener against the Raiders approaching, Bo & Joe break down a dramatically reshaped roster loaded with young players who are about to experience NFL football at an entirely different level. From three rookie receivers expected to contribute immediately to an inexperienced secondary and major questions about where the Dolphins' pass rush will come from, there is plenty Miami still needs to figure out.
But the biggest question may be Malik Willis.

The Miami Dolphins got a serious wake-up call in their joint practice with the New York Giants.
Kim Bokamper and Joe Rose break down a rough day for Miami, as the Giants' pass rush overwhelmed the Dolphins' offensive line, Malik Willis struggled to find time to throw, the running game had trouble getting going, and multiple skirmishes raised concerns about discipline. Bo calls it one of the most ragged practices he's seen, while Joe says plenty of Dolphins players should be uncomfortable when they sit down to watch the film.
It wasn't all bad. Bo and Joe saw encouraging moments from Miami's defensive front, including Jacob Rodriguez's interception and flashes from several young defenders. And despite a difficult day offensively, Joe remains intrigued by Willis' athletic ability—while stressing that the quarterback can't succeed without protection, receivers getting open and a functioning running game.
With the next preseason game approaching, Bo & Joe discuss what Jeff Hafley's message should be to his team, which young Dolphins need to respond, and why this practice may have been exactly the kind of test Miami needed before the regular season.
