Welcome to the very first episode of The Cheese Wheel! Your hosts, Andrew DeWolf, Jess McAnally, and Liz Esten, are kicking things off with a deep dive into a true cult classic: Doug Walker's cinematic opus, Kickassia. This 2010 parody film, brought to life by the Nostalgia Critic and his team, follows their outlandish attempt to take over the one-acre nation of Molossia and transform it into the absurdly named Kickassia.

For Andrew, Jess, and Liz, Kickassia isn't just a movie—it's a nostalgic landmark that defined an era of online content and fandom. In this episode, they'll reminisce about what made this chaotic, no-budget spectacle so special to them, dissect the film's unique brand of humor, and explore why Kickassia still holds a special place in the hearts of fans years later, despite a lot of the creators being less then good people.

Speaking of reviving something from years ago, this week we're diving back into the world of Hatchetfield to talk about StarKid's new revival of "The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals." Specifically, we're going to talk about how theater can adapt and change over the years, and how Starkid Fans can go crazy of minute changes to a performance to fine tune a tone because "it's not identical to the one I watched a buttzillion times."
