This Restomodded Ferrari F355 Just Took On Singer and Won!

    06/05/2026 | 50 min
Spike and Jonny cover the Long Beach Grand Prix, a Ferrari restomod that's trying not to get sued, and a Lucid sedan that runs a 9.2-second quarter mile. Also: the guys bought an insanely rare '71 Porsche 911 T Targa and a billionaire had Aston Martin build him a one-off track car faster than an F1 car.

Spike went to Long Beach and became the official face of heart valve health. Yes, really. Catch him on Good Morning America apparently.

Jonny Lieberman drives the 355 by Evoluto, a Ferrari F355 restomod with a carbon fiber body, wider track, gated manual, and 420hp. It's 200 pounds lighter than stock and Jonny loves it. Then they tear into the Starke Speedster, a 356-style body slapped onto a 718 Boxster chassis, and Spike is not impressed. Meanwhile, the Lucid Air Sapphire shows up with 1,234 horsepower and Bugatti-level quarter-mile times in a luxury sedan package.

Morris Solomon is now the official car curator for SCR fans, kicking things off with a museum-quality 1971 Porsche 911 T Targa with no miles, one of Jerry Seinfeld's cars. Also, Hyundai EV sales jumped 39.8% in a single month, so maybe pump the brakes on the "EVs are dead" takes. Aston Martin built a billionaire a single-seat, one-off track car based on the Valkyrie AMR Pro. It leaked. The guys have thoughts.

Join Spike at the Pacific Palisades Motor Classic on June 13th. Bring your car. Jay Leno will probably be there.

The REAL Reason You Can’t Buy a GT3 w/ Andy Preuninger

    29/04/2026 | 55 min
Spike sits down with Andy Preuninger, the man who built Porsche's GT division into what it is today, to talk the new 2027 911 GT3 SC, why more horsepower is "complete bullshit," and what it actually takes to spec a GT car correctly. Andy also reveals he's a truck guy. Yes, really.

Andreas "Andy" Preuninger is the Director of Porsche's GT model line and the guy responsible for the GT3, GT3 RS, GT2 RS, 911 ST, 718 Spyder RS, and every other car that makes enthusiasts lose their minds. Spike calls him "the Pope of GT Cars," and Andy doesn't exactly disagree.

They break down the philosophy behind Porsche GT: driver engagement over raw numbers, lightweight over luxury, form that always follows function. Andy drops his personal specs for any GT car (front-axle lift, PCCB, bucket seats, and skip the fancy leather), explains why he hates black wheels with a passion, and shares why the GT3 Touring now outsells the winged version with 80% of buyers still choosing the manual.

On the new 2027 911 GT3 SC (Sport Cabriolet): Andy calls it an "everyday Speedster", a GT3 Touring with a fully automated roof built for the open-air crowd who didn't want to wrestle with a manual top. European emissions legislation in 2027 is driving the timeline, and production will roughly double the 911 ST's numbers. Andy also ranks the 718 Spyder RS in his personal top three out of 26 cars he's developed, explains how Porsche hides test cars from Nürburgring paparazzi, and gets into why he thinks the next frontier for GT cars is agility — not horsepower.

Plus: his personal 993 Cabriolet, what German driver's licenses actually cost, his Hemi-powered Dodge Ram, and whether he'd have a Corvette if he lived in the States.

James Pumphrey hit the Dakar Rally with Tudor watches, then flew to Geneva to attempt building a watch movement by hand. Spoiler: tiny screws are no joke. Back stateside, he's turning a $3,000 VW Golf with 300k miles into a project car built for regular people, not influencers with sponsor budgets.

Peter Nam of Gunther Werks crashed the episode last-minute to bring in the 'Endgame': a one-of-one 4.0L twin-turbo Speedster commissioned by a client with a serious Marvel obsession. We're talking 840 horsepower, 2,600 lbs, 24k gold-plated engine components, and a shifter micro-pavéd with real gemstones representing the Infinity Stones. The candy red paint was matched to high-end Iron Man figures. This thing is absurd in the best possible way.

Along the way: Porsche GT3 SC debate, the 911 GT4 rumors nobody's officially confirmed, a Malibu GT3 RS crash Spike definitely wasn't involved in, and a roast of a Porsche dealership's Botox-and-matching-outfits marketing campaign aimed at women.

Also: Peter drops insider intel on Porsche's upcoming $2.5–3M Hybrid V8 halo car. Not the Mission X. Something much more interesting.

Why LA is the Car Capital of the World

    15/04/2026 | 59 min
Spike and Zuckerman sit down with Evan from LA in a Minute to dig into the surprisingly rich automotive history of Los Angeles, from the first gas-powered car tested at 2 a.m. on Broadway in 1897 to how a racing speedway literally built Beverly Hills. Plus, Spike reviews the Aston Martin Vantage S, Evan confesses to rear-ending a nun, and the crew debates why Angelenos can't stop saying "the" before freeway numbers.

Evan Lovett, the creator of 'LA in a Minute,' brings a level of LA history nerd energy that even Spike didn't see coming. They trace the city's car culture all the way back to 1897, when two guys, Erie and Sturgis, built a Karl Benz-inspired four-wheeler in Boyle Heights and snuck it out at 2 a.m. to avoid spooking horses. From there: the Beverly Hills Speedway (yes, that's why Beverly Hills is Beverly Hills), the golden age of LA mass transit that somehow nobody remembers, In-N-Out inventing the two-way speaker box in 1948, and why Angelenos measure every trip in minutes, not miles.

Spike also reviews the Aston Martin Vantage S: 670hp, plasma blue, CarPlay Ultra, and apparently better than a Porsche in at least one dimension. Evan delivers a confession about rear-ending a nun while reading a magazine. And the crew gives the Petersen Automotive Museum its flowers, including the vault that holds Magnum P.I.'s Ferrari and an Ayrton Senna F1 car.

If you live in LA, drive through LA, or have ever wondered why everyone says "the 405", this one's for you.

Why Automakers DON'T Make Cars for You Anymore

    08/04/2026 | 1 h 3 min
Matt Farah pulls up to the SCR Garage to break down the Aston Martin Vantage S and Aston Martin Valhalla, debate carmakers' million-dollar hypercar obsession, and drop a rumor about a Porsche GT3 Touring Cabriolet. Plus: a road rage incident at the Brentwood Country Club, Daniel Craig shilling for a Chinese EV, and Omega's identity crisis.

Matt Farah is in the building, and nothing is off limits. Lieberman calls the Aston Martin Vantage S "sorted" and explains why the roadster beats the coupe. The Valhalla gets a deep dive: 999 units, $1.2M, carbon tub, three electric motors, and an engineer poached from McLaren. Then the guys get into whether hypercars are actually a sustainable business model or just manufacturers chasing ultra-rich buyers while leaving enthusiasts behind.

A double-sourced rumor surfaces: Porsche may be building a GT3 Touring Cabriolet, possibly called the "Sport Cab" with prototypes already spotted at Weissach.

Other stops on this episode: the Toyota Land Cruiser's identity crisis, a brutal Corvette Z06 crash, Spike's Bronco getting beat up by a caddy from the Brentwood Country Club, and Daniel Craig looking very uncomfortable in Denza EV promo photos.

Matt Farah is also giving away a fully optioned Porsche Turbo S!
