The Great Lakes are a beautiful and integral part of industry in the Midwest and Canada. But they also hold a great many secrets beneath their waves. They can be dangerous and incredibly mysterious to those willing to set sail from their shores. Even a quick preliminary search of these waters will bring you stories of sea monsters, cursed ships, wrecks and mass casualties; and after starting my own journey into learning more about these Inland Seas, I’ve found too many tales to count. So we’ll be dedicating an episode over time to each of these 5 lakes, beginning today with Lake Michigan and the idea that there is a mysterious Bermuda triangle of the north that can have strange and often devastating effects on quite a few vessels that cross into its borders. Today we’re covering a few of the unusual events that occurred within the Lake Michigan Triangle.
