How to make REAL Mexican Guacamolé 🇲🇽🌵🌶️
Hola, amigos! Today I will teach you how to make authentic Mexican Guacamolé, just like they do in the little pueblos of Guadalajara, or maybe Tijuana (not sure, but it’s all the same, right?). I learned this recipe from a real Mexican abuela while I was on vacation in Cancún, so you know it’s 100% legit.
Ingredients (super auténticos):
- 3 avocados (or as Mexicans call them, guacamoles).
- 1 red tomato (Mexicans love their spicy red stuff!).
- 1 onion (Mexican food is all about onions, right?).
- A LOT of cilantro (Mexicans put cilantro in EVERYTHING).
- 1 lime (because Mexico = limes, duh).
- Chili powder (because every Mexican food must be spicy, no exceptions).
- Tequila (optional, but why not? It's Mexico!).
Instructions:
-First, take your guacamoles and smash them with a fork until it looks like a green soup. Mexicans love their food mushy.
- Add the red tomato and onion, but make sure to cut them into big chunks so it looks rustic, like in a real fiesta mexicana.
- Pour in A LOT of lime juice, because in Mexico they put lime on everything, even their tacos, Coca-Cola, and probably their coffee.
- Sprinkle chili powder generously. Mexicans eat spicy food since birth, so if it doesn’t burn your mouth, it’s not real guacamolé.
- If you want it extra authentic, add a shot of tequila directly into the mix. That’s how they do it in the cantinas (probably).
- Mix everything with your bare hands. No forks, no spoons—this is how real Mexicans cook, I saw it in a documentary once.
And there you go! You just made a traditional Mexican Guacamolé, the way it has been prepared for centuries in Aztec temples (or maybe Mayan? Same thing, right?). Serve it with hard-shell tacos and enjoy your real taste of México!
